It's virus free, but you may have to disable /make an exception with your anti-virus when you download it since it's an exe file.
I have Norton, which got over zealous, and it kept deleting the installation file before I could install it. I had to disable the "Download Intelligence" for 15 minutes so I could download the installation file. After 15 minutes the Download Intelligence turned back on without me having to do anything.
Settings > Web Settings > Download Intelligence
